Pregnancy Is The Best News For Individuals - 3563 Words

Having a baby is one of the most wonderful feelings, and moments for most women’s, couple’s, and family’s lives. Many women are excited to get pregnant, and expect their life to change for better by giving birth (Hoffenaar, 2009). Becoming a family, carrying on the family name or bloodline, or only the love for children make people want to have babies. When the first child comes, his or her arrival redefines people from a couple to a family. It bonds people for life in many inexplicable ways that are too big to be apparent right away after the birth. Most individuals, and couples want to plan the timing and spacing of their childbearing, and also want to avoid unintended pregnancies, for a range of social, economic and psychological†¦show more content†¦It is important to mention that pregnancy has a public health impact as well. Births resulting from unintended or closely spaced pregnancies are associated with adverse maternal, and child health outcomes . According to Finner (2011), women who have an unintended pregnancy are at risk for unintended childbearing, which associates with a number of adverse maternal behaviors and child health outcomes, including inadequate or delayed initiation of prenatal care, smoking and drinking during pregnancy, premature birth and lack of breastfeeding, as well as negative physical and mental health effects on children. Once the person gets pregnant there are three options on how to proceed: 1- continue with the pregnancy and raise the baby, 2-continue with the pregnancy and create an adoption plan to allow someone else to raise the child, 3- end the pregnancy by having an abortion (acog.org). Finner and Zolna demonstrate that, based on National Center for Health Statistics’ findings on pregnancies; in 2006, 3.2 million (nearly

It would seem relatively orthodox and banal to suggest that killing for fun is the type of action that is vacuous, full of folly and the very opposite of innocuous. Recreational hunters, or should they be allowed the moniker of â€Å"Slaughterers† are in fact, active participants in the killing for thrill that should be admonished. These same killers justify their irrational slaughtering and debauchery through erroneous arguments that are wholly vacuous. Nonetheless, killing anything for whatever joy or competition that could be rendered from doing so is savage. Overall, Recreational hunting should be abated or completely annulled or any form of interdiction should be put on it for its absurd and ignoble breach of moral principle, where it†¦show more content†¦Evidently, hunting’s effects on ecology are arguable, it could have a positive effect on ecology. But this argument that is manufactured by recreational hunters still fails to justify the fact they are st ill killing animals for the thrill, despite the fact that a degree of good may shed from it incidentally. When recreational hunters turn to the argument of how they assist conservation, their killing of creatures for fun truly undermines their supposed love for the planet. Simply, it’s the thought that counts. Now, looking upon the ethics of sports hunting (killing for sport); the cessation of a creatures life for competition and for thrill is a rapacious mode of thought that is clearly deleterious and possibly even sadistic. It is simply morally wrong to pursue an innocent animal and murder it in its own home; and the reasoning for being the aggressor/hunter in this scenario; desiccated into the most basic ingredient is: for fun. Moreover, animals that are being pursued may die a painful death or leave terribly wounded. So it is evident that these hunters do not mind that their actions can cause suffering, but yet they continue with their painfully cruel acts. Recreational hunting actually encourages enjoying this, hence the fact it contains recreational in its name. Causes of Ww1 Free Essays

Causes of World War 1 In 1914, a conflict arose in Europe that started what is now called World War 1 (WW1). This war did not just spring up out of nowhere there many causes involved that started this vast conflict. The immediate cause of WW1 was the assassination of the Archduke Franz Ferdinand who was killed in the Bosnian capital Sarajevo (Mulligan). We will write a custom essay sample on Causes of Ww1 or any similar topic only for you Order Now The main cause of WW1 is M. A. I. N which represents militarism, alliance systems, imperialism, and nationalism (Danzer 579). And a contributing factor of WW1 is escalating tension in the Balkan region. Because of the assassination, M. A. I. N, and tension in the Balkan Peninsula the conflict known as WW1 began. Often the immediate cause for some event is what happened right before that event occurred in this case the assassination of the Archduke Franz Ferdinand was the immediate cause. In June 1914 the Austrian Archduke Franz Ferdinand was visiting the Bosnian capital, Sarajevo, when he was shot (Mulligan). The Archduke Franz Ferdinand was killed by a Serbian named Gavrilo Princip who was associated with a group known as the Black Hand, which promoted Serbian nationalism. Right after the assassination Austria-Hungary and Serbia were in a diplomatic crisis with each other. On July 28 1914, Austria-Hungary declared war on Serbia thinking it would only be a short war (Danzer 580). But they had actually started what is now called the First World War. Although the assassination was the spark that started the war it was not the main reason for the war. The main cause for the start of WW1 was M. A. I. N which stands for militarism, alliance systems, imperialism, and nationalism (Danzer 579). All of these are long term causes eventually led to the start of the war. Militarism played a very important part in starting WW1; almost every country was bulking up their armies. Even Germany found that they were competing with Britain for who had a better navy. Germany didn’t have much of a Navy until Wilhelm II, Germany’s Kaiser, decided to become a major sea power (Danzer 579). Because most powerful countries had their fair share of colonies around the world they felt the need to be able to protect these territories with their armies. Tension rose as nations assembled bigger and bigger armies. Prior to the war many countries had alliance systems with other ountries in case they ever went into a conflict with another nation. These alliances were simple if one country were to go to war their allies would come to reinforce them. So when the War did break out country after country got dragged into a battle they are forced to fight. For many centuries, European nations had been building empires, slowly expanding their political control across the globe. Colonies supply European nations with materials and provide markets for manufactured goods (Danzer 579). This is why Germany, France, and Britain compete for colonies creating tension between them even before the war. Nationalism played an important role for the start of the war because the people of each country felt an intense loyalty to that country. It was because of nationalism that Princip assassinated the Austrian Archduke. These four causes are the main reason why the First World War started in the first place. The contributing factor for the start of WW1 was the rising tension in the Balkan Peninsula. The Balkan Peninsula at the time consisted of the countries Greece, Albania, Serbia, Bulgaria, Romania, Montenegro and Turkey (Mulligan). The Balkan Peninsula was also known as â€Å"the powder keg of Europe† because of the building tension which was ready to explode at any moment (Danzer 580). The reason for all the tension in this region is mostly because of the interest from major European powers. The Balkan Peninsula was of major significance to these European powers due to its territorial and economic advantages. Examples of these interests are Russia wanting access to the Mediterranean Sea. Another is that Germany wanted a rail link to the Ottoman Empire, Germany’s Ally, which cut right through the Balkan Peninsula (Danzer 580). Naturally the Balkan people didn’t wish to be ruled by any authority besides themselves so they had dislike towards big European nations (Mulligan). Because of growing nationalism among the Balkan people many countries were striving to be independent. Austria-Hungary, who taken control of Bosnia in 1878, realized this when it seemed Serbia was subverting it’s rule over Bosnia (Danzer 580). With all this tension the â€Å"powder keg† was ready to ignite which is what happened in 1914. WW1 started for three reasons because of the assassination, M. A. I. N, and tension in the Balkan Peninsula. Even if the assassination of the Austrian Archduke did not happen the war may have still began because of M. A. I. N. The tension caused by M. A. I. N would eventually lead to an event similar to the assassination and have an equal effect as well. To avoid repeating this terrible war it is important that WW1 is to be remembered as a valuable piece of history considering history was repeated already when World War 2 started. WW1 was the biggest war that anyone had ever witnessed in that time and it will always be remembered. How to cite Causes of Ww1, Papers

Process Analysis On How To Make Lemonade Essays - Lemonade

Process Analysis On How To Make Lemonade Water is the most refreshing drink in the world, and probably the cheapest. People drink water because its easy to achieve and cost barely anything. Lemon is one of the worse kinds of grapefruit people eat or doesnt eat at all. It taste extremely sour and even bitter if you eat the skin. But if you add these two ingredients together, you get one of the most prolific drinks ever. There are hundreds of ways of making lemonade. From whiskey lemonade to chocolate lemonade, there is a very wide range of making lemonade. But the simplest of all these kinds is the water base lemon drink, where water and lemon is the two crucial flavors in the drink. Its refreshing, healthy, and helps reduce Fibromyalgia, a certain disease. It is incredibly easy to make, that even a 5 year old can make. But let it be advised, however, that without the proper tools and directions, the great American beverage is nothing more than acid in water. People sometimes have the tendency of making the simplest mistake, such as adding sugar before water, and so forth. But with a three-step process, lemonade is bound to be better than beer or sex. To start making lemonade, it is a must to have lemon, sugar, and water. It cost around 65 cents for one pound of lemon, and cost 25 cents for 5 gallons of water. Without these three ingredients, the drink will no longer be called lemonade. It is essential that a knife be there to cut the lemon, a cup or a pot for the drink, and a stove pan to heat the drink. Later on, it is necessary to have a blender for the ice. And the last important detail of the juice is the juice squeezer. First off, wash the lemons clean so there wont be any dirt or bacteria on the lemon. Use the knife and cut the lemon in half so the juice can be easily squeezed out of. If you desire more juice from the lemon, it is a good way to put the lemon in the microwave first for around 10 to 15 seconds. After cutting the lemon and squeezing about 2 cups of juice into the cup or pot, add around 6 cups of water. After adding water to the cup, add 1 and a half-cup of sugar to the juice and water. The most important thing to remember is that the ratio of juice, sugar and water makes lemonade great not too sweet, not too tart. I like 6 cups of water to 2 cups juice and 2 cups sugar. Adjust it to suit yourself. Also, dont forget how great hot lemonade tastes in the winter when you have a sore throat. You can freeze the lemon/sugar syrup for later use. After all said and done with the first process, add the juice in the pan and heat it on the stove. Let it heat up till vapor appears. This causes the heat to reduce the sweetness of the sugar as well as killing off the germs and bacteria. Stir the juice so that the sugar wont go to the base of the drink. This causes the drink to be very unbalanced and make it very sour or bitter. Keep stirring till the water, sugar, and juice are spread equally. Turn off the stove and carefully put the pan off the stove so it could cool off. The third step is very easy. Obtain around 7 cups of ice or more. Put it in the blender, and crush it into small chunks of ice. Repeat this process until you have enough ice for 3 cups or half a gallon. After this is finish, get the pan with the juice and have a taste test. If the drink is too sweet or sour, add water until it suits your liking. Remember to add hot water or warm water. It gives the drink more of vibe and a sting to it. When finish with adding water, pour the juice with the crush ice. Do not stir, but instead shake. Stirring causes the ice to evaporate. It is now finish and time
